Hi!

I love Catrice polishes! They apply flawlessly and they are extremely long lasting, so there are no chips the very next day ;) The color range is big and anyone can find something suitable for themselves. Today I will show you the Catrice Lost In Mud which is medium brown creamy color with splash of gray. After applying a top coat this one becomes even more brownish. It’s opaque in two coats.

Catrice Lost In Mud:

I was in a good mood today so I’ve done some Konading. I used Konad image plate m75 and the Konad special polish in Apple Green color. I also added the Essence flower shaped rhinestones.

Do you like it?   -Lyra

Do you like chocolate? I love it! :D The Nubar Swiss Chocolate polish is perfect warm medium brown chocolate color. This one really makes me crave for chocolate. It takes two coats for full coverage.

I decided to make truffles out of my already chocolate colored nails. I used Essence Iced Chai Latte, China Glaze Ingrid and NYX ink nail art pens in black and white. It didn’t turn out as I expected but here are the pictures anyway:

Have a nice day! :)

Yaaaay! I got the polishes from the Essence Metallics collection! :D OMG, OMG!! Why are they so special? Four of them are magnetic!

The only thing I have to criticize is the Essence magnet :/ It’s sucks! It’s not strong enough and it’s really hard to get close to the polish, without touching it with the magnet. You will have even more problems if you have very curvy nails. Here is the result with the Essence magnet on the color wheel:

******

I’ve done all the swaches of the magnetic polishes with Alessandro magnet :)

Copper Rulez! is my favorite from this collection. It’s gorgeous even without the magnet effect. It’s dark warm brown base with a lot of bigger orange and golden shimmer. It’s really a perfect color for the autumn.

Iron Goddess: here you can see the difference between Alessandro and the Essence magnet. I used the Essence magnet only on my index finger. The color of this polish is medium brown with silver shimmer.

Metal Battle: this is the only polish in the collection that is not magnetic. Its black base with blue shimmer.

Nothing Else Metals: is some kind of washed out golden olive color with silver highlights when you apply the magnet pattern. It looks nice and it goes well with my complexion.

Steel Me: this polish is a lot thicker than the others in the collection. It’s shimmery silver color with darker stripes when the magnet pattern is applied.

My boyfriend had a suggestion to try with these polishes – the Buckyballs (little magnets). I tried it on Nothing Else Metals and Alessandro Wild Purple. The pattern that came out is really nice :D It looks like some kind of grid or snake/alligator skin. The Buckyballs are so strong that you don’t even have to hold them very close to the polish.

In the Metallics collection there are also lipsticks and jumbo eye pencils.

And here are the swaches of the jumbo eye pencils:

What do you think about this collection? I think that Essence did a really good job this time by releasing the magnetic polishes. They are still cheap and the finishing look is chic and modern. I’m sure that very soon more companies will start making such magnetic polishes :)

Have a nice time! Lyra*

OPI Tickle My France-Y is creamy nude color with splash of brownish pink. Sometimes it looks more like gray pink nude – depending on the lighting. It’s subtle and chic. It takes two coats for full coverage.

OPI Tickle My France-Y:

I had to do some Konading on this one, but not something that visible from miles away, it’s rather soft and subtle. I choose Catrice Lost In Mud and Konad image plate s6 for stamping. It came out pretty nice :)

I got the other half of China Glaze Vintage Vixen collection a few days ago, so here are the swatches :) If you missed the first part, you can see it HERE. Enjoy!

Classic Camel: yellow ochre color with a lot of golden shimmer. It needs two coats for full coverage. I have to say it – I hate this color on me! :D I don’t know why, maybe it doesn’t go well with my skin tone.

Emerald Fitzgerald: I always said that I don’t like green color on my nails. I take it back! This one looks beautiful on me. It’s dark bluish green color and it has frost finish.

First Class Ticket: dark purple color with blue shimmer. Lovely. Two coats for full coverage.

Goin’ My Way?: warm medium brown shade with a lot of golden shimmer. Beautiful and perfect color for autumn.

Midnight Mission: this one is stunning! It’s dark blue with tiny silver glitters mixed in it. It’s super sparkly and it’s just awesome. One of my favorites from this collection. It’s opaque with two coats.

Riveter Rouge: nice deep shimmery red shade with tiny gold glitter. Very nice and sparkly.

Bye! -Lyra :)

OPI DS: Jewel

posted by lyra

OPI DS Jewel disappointed me a little bit. It looks gorgeous in the bottle, but not on the nails. It’s nice but it’s not something I would add to the Designer Series. It’s caramel base with bronze and pink shimmer. There’s no sight of holo effect in it. The formula is awful! It’s watery, runny and very sheer. It took three coats to achieve good coverage, but keep in mind that the third layer was thicker than the others.

Finally I had the time to swatch China Glaze Vintage Vixen. This is just a half of the collection, because I’m still waiting for the other half. I got this from Tiffani. Thank you a lot! :)
And here we go.

Bogie: eggplant purple shade with multi colored shimmer. It’s vampy, sparkly and it’s NOT black. Love it!

Foxy: brownish red color with orange and red shimmer. Totally perfect for autumn.

Hey Doll: pinkish brown color with red and silver shimmer. Very unique color.

Ingrid: taupe brown with golden shimmer. I really like this one.

Jitterbug: Very dark gray shade with tons of silver shimmer. This one is very sparkling!

Swing Baby: metallic champagne color with a lot of silver glitter. It has a foil look.

The application was okay, I didn’t have any bigger problems. Only two shades (Foxy and Ingrid) are a little bit runny, but manageable. With runny I mean that I was sure I didnt have too much polish on the brush, but then suddenly a big drop came out of nowhere. All of them need two coats for full coverage and they are well pigmented. The colors are perfect for autumn and I like all of them.

Have a nice time!! :)

Hi!

Today I have swaches of polishes, from another Essence Collection called ”We Saw It First”. There are four polishes in these collection. The formula of polishes is great, I didn’t have any problems with application. They all need two coats for full coverage. They are also well pigmented so they can be used for stamping :)

Absolutely Stylish: is dark brown shade with less visible green and red glitter mixed in it. Nice shade, great for autumn.

Lime Up!: perfect Shrek color. I really don’t like this shade on my nails. This one is dupe of OPI Who The Shrek Are You? I’ll never wear this polish (maybe just for Halloween if I’m Fiona ;) )

Movie Star: Darker gray shade. This one is my favorite from the collection.

What Do You Think?: peachy coral creamy shade. This one is also nice.

I’ve done some Konading with Movie star and Konad image plate m81.

Which one is your favorite?

I’m finally posting this! I took these pictures almost a month ago. Essence Return To Paradise collection is not so new, but you can still get this stuff in some stores.

*****

POLISHES: in this collection there are five polishes. They all need two coats for full coverage, and they are great for stamping.

Back To Paradise: my favorite shade from this collection. Dark forest green color with slightly blue undertone.

Fruit Punch: light orange shade with yellow shimmer.

Sun Downer: dark orange with yellow shimmer. This one is simmilar to Fruit Punch, but it has a lot more red tone in it.

Jungle Drum: verry dark brown shade, with a little shimmer in it, which is visible only on strong light.

My Little Orchid: warm purple shade with blue shimmer. The finish is frosty.

*****

PEN EYELINERS: there are three different colors of pen eyeliners in this collection – Brown, purple and teal. They are waterproof, and they are really hard to remove.

I like these pen-type eyeliners, because they are really easy to aply.

What do you think of this collection? Do you like it?
Have a nice time! -Lyra* :)

This polish is from Chocolate Truffles Collection for fall/winter 09. It’s a dark brown base with loads of red and purple shimmer mixed in it. Gorgeous! It needs two coats for full coverage.
