Hi!

I will show you the manicure that I wore today. The berry base is polish called Main Stage from the latest Ciate collection. I stamped all-over pattern from m61 Konad image plate with China Glaze OMG which is silver holo shade. Lately I love to stamp with holo shades.

Some of you asked about my nail care routine and how I painted my nails so that the line looks clean. I will do a post about that, and maybe include a video showing the routine, because I really don’t know how to explain that :P

Until that, have a nice time! –Lyra*

Mancina asked me to make a comparison between Essence Zulu and China Glaze Channelesque so I made it. I also added Essence Desert Fox and Catrice from Dusk to Dawn for compare.

I can say for sure that none of them are dupes. Zulu is the lightest and in comparisson to the others looks the grayest. Channelesque is the one with the strongest purple undertone. Desert Fox and FDTD have brown base, but Desert Fox is more grayish.

I hope you find this comparison useful.

I already mentioned that I got the new collection of Ciate polishes, so yesterday I made some swatches. It’s called Festival Fever. It looks like my camera hates the colors from this collection. I had a lot of trouble with capturing the realistic colors. But the sun helped with some shades this time, so I didn’t have to adjust the colors in PS, because I really hate that. Here is a picture with all six new shades in bottles:

*****

Talent Scout: nice cold toned grape purple shade. Very pigmented, so one coat is enough. The first second I saw it, it reminded me of China Glaze Grape Pop so I made a comparison. As you can see on the photo, Grape Pop is one shade darker than The Talent Scout. They are not dupes, but they are very close.

Ditch The Heels: I truly don’t know how to describe this color. It’s definitely green. I will go with medium pastel green. This is two coats.

Fun Fair: nice pastel bubble gum pink. It’s opaque with two coats.

Main Stage: medium berry color. This one looks exactly the same like Essence Very Berry. This is just one coat!

Headliner: dirty medium blue with little green undertone, but the green can’t be seen under all lights. It needs two coats for full coverage.

Access All Areas: This is very tricky color. The first photo of this polish looks like neon orange. It’s actually bright medium peachy color with orange and pink undertone. This one is so unique. It also needs two coats for full coverage.

Half of this collection is nothing special. It doesn’t have any new colors that we haven’t already seen, but the other half is quite unique. Ditch The Heels, Headliner and Access All Areas are the shades that you must have. The formula is also great. I have to give credit to Ciate for improving their formula of polishes, because they are not thick and sticky anymore so the application of the new shades was great. Bravo!

This is all for today :)

See you soon, Lyra *

Hello everyone!! :)

Today I will show you a manicure which I have been wearing for the past few days and it still looks like the first day! I can’t believe it that the polish didn’t chip off yet.

I used Ciate 3am Girl as the base and then I stamped on the Konad with China Glaze DV8. I know that I’m already boring with this pattern, but I can’t get tired of it. The pattern is from m73 Konad image plate.

I like cherries very much, they are my favorite fruit. I have a carton of fresh ones in my fridge and I eat them almost every day. This is what my afternoon snack looks:

Hi!!

Yaaaay!! I have a new Essence Trend Edition collection. It’s called Into The Wild. You can find polishes, lip-glosses, eye-shadows, bronzing powder and jumbo eye-pencils in it. Look at all this stuff:

*****

POLISHES: in collection are four polishes.

Desert Fox is warm brown shade with gray undertone. The application was OK, and I applied two coats. If I was more careful, one would be enough.

Zulu is my favorite. It’s gray color with a hint of lavender. This one should be matte, but the matte effect is not so strong. It’s more plastic like looking. Anyway I like glossy look more than matte so it doesn’t bother me. I applied two coats.

Heart Chakra is my second favorite. It is nice mixture between coral and rose shade, so under some lights is more rosy and on the other is more coral looking. It needs two coats for full coverage.

Bongo Drums is neutral milky shade. This one is not well pigmented. After the first layer it looks like it’s almost clear. On the pictures are three layers, but the white tips are still visible. It’s also quite streaky.

*****

LIP-GLOSSES: the collection has three different shades of lip-glosses. Essence usually disappoints me with their glosses, because they are not well pigmented, but this time I was pleasantly surprised. They are good pigmented and the colors are also nice. One is jelly looking and the other two have shimmer in them.
Here I made swatches on my arm:

Heart Chakra is nice jelly rose shade, with coral undertones. This is my favorite.

Beat the Heat is shimmering golden color. Nice, but it doesn’t suit me at all.

40 Degree is golden brown shade with silver and red shimmer mixed in it.

How do you like this collection?

Have a nice day! :) -Lyra

Hello!

Today I will show you two Catrice polishes. Yes, you read right, two! :)

The first one is named Clay-Ton My Hero. Funny name, but very special polish. It is a brownish gray color with a golden shimmer. It’s pretty unique. I don’t have any similar shade in my collection. It needs two coats for full coverage.

 *****

My Bests Friends Tiara is also beauty in the bottle. It is white color with a silver shimmer, and it also has a hint of gray in it. It looks so luxury. The finish is frosty and it’s opaque in two coats.

I put some Konad on this one. I used Essence Bonnie for stamping and pattern from m64. I love how it comes out.

See you soon!

Hi!

Sorry that I’m not posting more often, but this cold and rainy weather is so depressing that I’m not in the mood for anything. I promised you more swatches of Catrice polishes so here is another one.

BLUE’S BROTHER: is cold medium blue with turquoise shimmer. The finish is frosty, and I liked it that way. This color also reminds me of sea. I don’t know why all the blue shades remind me of sea, maybe because I can’t wait to go on a vacation, somewhere close to a beach. It’s opaque in two coats.

I put fishes from Konad image plate m27 on my ring finger with China Glaze Millennium.

In the next post I will show you two Catrice polishes ;)

Have a nice time!

Hi!

Today I will show you another beautiful Catrice polish. It’s called Plum Play With Me, and you can assume on the name that is plum purple color. The finish is creamy and it needs two coats for full coverage. This one is pretty thick and sticky, so the second layer was thicker than what I wanted. Anyway it dried quickly. I just love this color!

PLUM PLAY WITH ME:

This time I decided to put some Konad on, so I chose rose pattern from m65. For stamping I used China Glaze OMG. The holo effect doesn’t show on the pictures, because of the rainy weather (bad light), but I think we all know, what the OMG looks like and you can imagine that the mani is really nice.

I’m really hoping for good weather tomorrow, so I can do some more swatches of Catrice polishes. Today I also got the new six shades from Ciate. They are gorgeous, and I can’t wait to show them to you.

Have a nice polished day! :)

Hello ladies!

Yesterday I have shown you my new Catrice polishes. Most of you want me to make swatches of The Devil Wears Red and Poison Me, Poison You! So I did them both.

THE DEVIL WEARS RED is really dark vine red shade. In the first coat you can see the red color, but it’s so streaky that the second coat is absolutely necessary. When you put on another layer of the polish, the color becomes more brown than red. The redness comes out under really strong light. I had no problems with application. There are two coats on the pictures.

*****

POISON ME, POISON YOU! is gorgeous eggplant purple with blue and scarlet shimmer. The formula of this one is a little thick, but I managed somehow. This nail polish also needs two coats for full coverage.

*****

I have to say that I’m impressed with these polishes. They are great for such a low price. I also love the brush, it’s not too thin and it’s not too wide. It’s just the right size for perfect application. I also like that they have so many different shades to choose from. Everyone can find something for their taste.
More swatches to come tomorrow ;)

Have a nice time!!
